Bookshelf BEFORE! I had three identical hideous particle board bookshelfs. I used two to make the new grey bookshelf for my bedroom and this one is doomed to life in the back of the hall closet.

I know, Cheryl, isn't it amazing!? The branches actually go on forever and are so low to the ground they actually rest on little support posts. We're too far north for a live oak, so we think it might be a Mulberry?

My "wet bar", which makes a great place for coffee/tea stuff since kitchen counter space is limited. (Fear not my friends, the whiskey decanters are filled with coffee flavoring syrups!) The old wine bottles came out of a dusty box in the barn and are labeled "Hawk Hills Winery" - leftovers from when this property was a winery.

"After" - almost finished- I haven't found a grey fabric I like that matches the paint, yet, but the bottom shelves are set back and will be curtained off so I can store less pretty books and "junk". As soon as I find my boxes of horse show ribbons I'm going to put more blue ribbons up. This is just two ugly particle board/laminate bookshelves that I primed with crazy-strong primer, painted, bolted together, then added pretty molding to. I put wide molding on the bottom and it's white to match the baseboards= awesome!

If we get together before I find some, I'll send you home with a paint chip (homemade- I mixed the color myself!) and you can see if anything you have works. It's a weird color.

My refrigerator used to have a big scratch on it. Now it has a big rabbit on it. I believe this to be an improvement.
January 10, 2011 at 7:26 pm I refrigerator is black and somehow, it now sports a mighty scratch down the side...I fixed it right up with black magic marker! My dad just about passed out when I told him how I fixed it! I think the rabbit is terriffic!

Glad we have that all cleared up! Say, are you putting feed out for the unicorns? We put it out on Christmas Eve to encourage the reindeer. I'm pretty sure the bag said, "For reindeer, unicorns, and people with pointy ears."

This bed was my very first piece of furniture. I bought it in college before I even owned a mattress or a room large enough for it to fit in- I had to have it and still love it as much today!

My bedroom is half done to date- the left half! Still working on curtains and bookshelves for the other 2 walls and getting a chandelier up over my bed. With a nod to my past, the stack of books on the bedside are vintage juvenile fiction horse stories.

It's 2.5 acres pretty much on the line between joplin and webb city. It's 2 minutes from Rangeline & Zora so I will finally be in town but not in an urban area! There is space for chickens and maybe one horse, if I want, zoning seems to allow that. the house is 3bdrm2.5 bth (or, 2 bdrm, 2 bath, with an office & half bath) and there is climate controlled room for manufacturing and shipping, as well as a CUTE storefront on the property. + a barn.

The previous owner had a gift shop in the store building, then when it got too big the entire house was the shop, so it's COOL- like the porch has stripes, the stairs have flourishes painted on the walls, etc. It's such a Lindsay house!
