Regal Earned the 2006 ABCR National Champion Performance Horse and in 2007 achieveD Reserve Champion in just ½ season of showing, having scored more points in open and breed competition (cumulatively) than any other Bashkir Curly in the nation. Regal is an 8 year old gelding out of our foundation mare, Silver Red Ebony. Even crossed with gaited lines Regal retained her hard gaits, natural collected cadence, and uphill movement. He always turns heads and invites comments from judges not only for his coat but movement and ability. Regal's bloodlines can be traced back all the way to Figure (aka Justin Morgan)!

Graduating from rail classes, Regal and I are beginning to compete in dressage. We did our first dressage show October 13, 2007. Regal loved being center of attention in the ring and we won both our classes scoring a 69.5 on the Intro B test and a 66.43 on his training level 2 test. We plan to finish the year showing Training Level test 4 and hopefully be ready to debut at the spring shows with a respectable performance at 1st level.
We're especially proud because Regal has never had professional training. Regal was a young trail broke horse when I bought him as an absolute beginner myself in mid-2005. Together we have spent countless hours in lessons, clinics, and of course riding for fun- but I've only used trainers who would train him through me. Though several times a year I have an instructor or clinician hop on for 10 or 15 minutes to make sure things "feel right" I've never allowed him to go into professional training, and the progress he has made despite me, his major handicap, is what makes me especially proud of this amazing horse.

After buying Regal in April of 2005, we tracked down his dam in Vermont and made an offer without even seeing photos! She stepped off the trailer after her 1500 mile trip to Missouri and we were delighted to find she was everything we'd hoped!
Ebony passes on to her foals three fantastic gaits, natural uphill collection, and a spirited but kind attitude. Ebony is trained to ride but is currently a full time mother.
Ebony is a National Champion producing mare.
Ebony foaled a 2007 filly by Okie J Red's Buddy. Ebony is being bred to Canadian ABC Stallion Kinyobi for a 2008 foal.

Ebony delivered a beautiful filly on July 5th, 2007! We're so excited about this addition to our farm. See below for more information about "Noble Debutante"
*AM Hell's Bells
"Bazy" comes to us from Al Marah/Bazy Tankersly's curly breeding program. She is half-Arabian and registered as a foundation Bashkir Curly mare. Refined and athletic with a curious sensibility, she is already a loved member of our farm.
We couldn't have asked for a nicer foal for our debut into breeding! Deb is out of our National Champion producing mare Silver Red Ebony, and sired by National Champion producing stallion Okie J Red's Buddy. Look for Deb showing in hand towards the ABCR In Hand National Championship in 2008!
Visit Deb's Page for more photos. Deb will not be offered for sale.

Our Farm
Noblewood Farm is located in the rolling hills of the Ozark Mountain foothills, in the spring river basin, about 15 minutes outside of Joplin, MO- just 20 minutes off the interstate I-44 corridor. (Roughly 2 hours from Tulsa, OK and 2 hours from Kansas City, MO) Our primary business is ran out of our turn of the century native-stone home, so we're able to keep an eye on our horses 24/7.
We love visitors. Contact us to arrange a visit or to test your allergies with these unique horses.
