This photo shows the sire of Lucy's 2007 foal, a friesian stallion. Lucy is a spanish type Bashkir Curly with thicker build, and this imported Friesian stallion is an extreme of the Baroque type Friesian. We hope a cross between these two beautiful horses will create a very distinctively Friesian looking horse but with movement more suited to pleasure or the show ring. (The high stepping stride of a Friesian, while nice to watch, can be difficult to ride and is actually more suited to fine harness than dressage or riding at all. Lucy is a Curly with a lot of extension in her gaits so we're eargar to see their foal move!)
