Winter 2005. This is a video still of a grey bashkir curly just beginning to learn to leg yield. In a proper leg yield the horse should remain parallel with the rail, but this green horse (early in training) shows a common problem- stepping more into the rail with the shoulders and leaving the hindquarters behind.
