This is a photo of custom dressage/dress boots I purchased from theleatherboutique.com / diaz - a seller of custom boots on eBay. Unfortunately, they take so long to receive after you place your order for them, it's too late to leave negative feedback for the seller. I was so disappointed in these boots and really feel like I was taken advantage of.
Even though I sent tons of measurements they were about two inches to short on arrival. Disappointing, but livable, right? They hurt SO bad to break in but I assumed like even low quality name brand riding boots with time they would get comfortable. Unfortunately, quite the opposite thing happened with theleatherboutique.com 's boots. I kept forcing myself to ride in them and the callouses on my feet and ankles kept growing. Eventually I could ride for an hour or two without pain, but if I kept them on after riding to do barn work my feet would start bleeding from the raw, unfinished edges within the boots.
Within the boots I purchased from the ebay custom boot seller Diaz, there are so many unfinished edges that within one or two rides these boots can ruin a pair of socks- literally wear holes in them. To make it through a show with my socks in tact I have to wear two layers of band-aids on the outsides of my socks.
Though these boots are look very worn after just a few months, they still are not really broken in. I guess the quality of leather theleatherboutique uses to construct their boots means these boots will never break in. In 6 months of use the soles are peeling apart and the left zipper jams regularly.
You may be like me and just looking for some custom riding boots to fit a plus size calf or unusual foot to calf measurement but consider my experience with theleatherboutique's boots before purchasing. Perhaps I just got a bad pair, but to date the seller has refused to replace or refund my purchase.
