This photo shows the typical response to pulling out a camera in front of Curly horses! In the foreground you see our white (grey) mare Silver Red Company investigating the camera closely. In the background you see TD I Love Lucy watching interestedly. Note the loose wavy curls of the white mare's forelock compared to the tight curls in the mane, ears, and forelock of the chestnut mare. These horses demonstrate well the difference between a minimal trail Curly coat and an extreme trait Curly coat. Ebony, with the loose wavy curls is a minimal, and Lucy with the tight curly ringlets is an extreme trait Curly horse.
