This picture shows a green horse cantering in a dressage clinic. This is my Bashkir Curly horse Regal at a dressage clinic in 2006. Many Bashkir Curly have excellent movement and make great dressage horses, especially for lower level riders. Many Bashkir Curlies have strong bone, and although heavy set sometimes, they tend to have strong high quarters and a bold stride. Many have conformation resembling the Spanish Mustang or early Andalusian horse, making them great for dressage. The best part though, is their temperament. The quiet, willing attitude of a Bashkir Curly makes them excellent for novice and lower level riders. This photo is an example of a good Bashkir Curly canter.
