This is a photo of a dressage lesson in January '07 on a curly horse gelding. He's heavy on the forehand in this photo, but see some other pictures of this lesson for better photos. This photo is a good illustration of the problems a poorly fit saddle can present to a rider. In this saddle, the stirrup bars (and thus, irons) are placed too far forward for my conformation. Because of the stirrup bars being placed incorrectly for my body, when I'm posting- as in this photo- my leg is pulled much farther forward than it should be.
