Here is a photo of me on my grey, curly dressage horse in a winter lesson. We try to train year round unless the weather gets icy. Bashkir Curlies self regulate their temperature very well so even if they are worked hard in cold weather, they cool out faster than typical horses. They usually don't need to be body clipped or trace clipped to be ridden through the winter months.
